Roof problems are generally discovered after leaking, wind damage, or other serious damage occurs. The condition of the roof covering will determine whether a repair or replacement roof is appropriate. When worn out, shingles sometimes curl, warp or lose granules and may have missing or damaged shingle tabs. Pay particular attention to any visible signs inside of your home such as cracked paint, discolored plasterboard, and peeling wallpaper. When looking at the exterior roof, look for cracks in tar and gravel roofs, exposed membranes, or any splitting and curling shingles.
